About Dr. Sacker
Andrew Sackser, DDS, is an experienced family and cosmetic dentist at Mineola Smiles, located in Mineola, New York. Dr. Sackser is passionate about improving people’s smiles and provides family dental care with a special interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He combines an extensive knowledge base with a creative, detail-oriented style to form beautiful smiles. He inherited his artistic side from his mother and grandfather, who were both artists.
Dr. Sackser graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brandeis University in 1993. Before beginning dental school, he became a certified Emergency Medical Technician and volunteered in his local volunteer ambulance corps. He later graduated with honors from The School of Dental Medicine at SUNY Buffalo in 2002. After Dental school, Dr. Sackser completed a one-year residency at the Manhattan Veterans Hospital, where he obtained advanced training in both general and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Sackser is an avid believer that education is a lifelong pursuit. He continues to take many courses in order to remain up-to-date on the latest advancements in dental science and to offer his patients the most modern treatments available.
Dr. Sackser is married to his wife, Karen, an optometrist in New York City. They are raising twins in long island. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, bike riding, woodworking, yoga, and photography.
